Do you remember a few weeks back I told you I had written a massive list of everything that we still needed to do in this room? Well, I’ve finally ticked some jobs off!
I’ve ordered handles and knobs for the wardrobe and I’VE FINALLY ORDERED A RUG!
I am really nervous for the rug to turn up though, so I hope I am not jinxing it by telling you all.

Oh and something else is happening in this room over the weekend, you’re not going to believe it 👀

D I Y - ANTIQUE RUSTIC STOOL

From Ikea > Antique weathered stool. When I saw the neighbour throwing this stool into his skip last year I quickly ran out and asked if I could have it. He happily passed it over, probably wondering why I wanted a half broken stool covered in paint. I had plans of course!

Sam easily fixed it and I only used products we already had in the house to 'age' it, so this DIY cost me £0. Lots of you have since messaged me saying you have one of these lying around too and want to give it a go, however, if you haven't already got one, the stool really isn't very expensive to begin with , especially when for a similar size (50cm high) antique milking stools you'll be paying in the region of £100-£150+.

It was a really easy DIY, really budget friendly and so fun too, you can watch all the steps in our highlights 'Antique Stool'.

PANELLING - has it inspired you?
Designing something out of the norm is always a little daunting. I am so lucky Sam let me run with this design idea, it has gone down so well and we are so pleased with how unique, yet subtle, it is.

We would love to know if any of our DIY’s have inspired you? Have you since tried our panelled wall and wardrobe hack or desk build for yourself, or just given DIY a go in general because you now feel more confident since seeing our stories?

I have lots more planned for this room. I would actually say it's probably only 60-70% done, we still need to make bedside tables, make and put up artwork which I may be starting this weekend. I wonder if it will all go to plan?! Fingers crossed!

A fully painted Studio can only mean one thing, today we finally started working in here after 12 months of working from home and we loved it! This time last year it was a lovely lime green and got a lot worse before it got better.
We are so happy with the colour of our lime wash walls, the lighter colours have a very subtle texture which I will show you more of in future posts but for now I wanted to give you one last view of our pride and joy before computers entered the room and took over the desk. We do still have a few finishing touches to do, we have a ceiling light on order, these are just our dining chairs, I am most likely going to add a blind, oh and carpet eventually!
However, I have some fun DIY projects to start this weekend for this room, so I hope you'll join us then to see what we do with the other walls in here.
